With the month of March 2018 just getting started, here’s an update on LucidWeb’s road plans. We look forward continuing evangelising the WebXR standard either via hosting a booth, a meetup, doing a keynote or participating in an expert panel. We continue our quest to help publishers/ storytellers in VR/AR (360° video, images or CGI) that wish to leverage their content creation process and/or distribution via WebVR or WebAR (of course you may PM us if you are interested to team up!).

Starting in March

Tech Startup Day (15th of March 2018 — Brussels): LucidWeb is hosting a booth at Belgium’s leading startup conference. The event brings together a diverse group of top experts, creative visionaries and opinion leaders that cover actual topics from startup cities and access to markets to co-creation and the art of pitching.

The industry program also features guest speakers from Ipsos Mori, Arte (Future), Eye on Films and The Venice International Film Critics’ Week.

French April

Laval Virtual (4–8th of April, France): LucidWeb will be hosting a booth at the 20th edition of Laval Virtual. Since 1999, Laval Virtual has been the reference exhibition and conference for Virtual and Augmented Reality in Europe, with a historic focus on enterprise applications. The expo now hosts 300 exhibitors in an exhibition area of over 8,000 m2 and welcomes more than 18,000 visitors each year.

  • ”How AR will affect the content industry” on Tuesday the 10th. Other panel members include Karmelina Paroula from Viacom/MTV and Steven Sullivan from Microsoft.
  • “Finding the game changer for VR Mass adoption” on Wednesday the 11th, as part of the second edition of the Immersive Content Leadership Summit. Other speakers include representatives from Baobab VR, Littlstar, ARTE and Jaunt VR.

May and our business trip to LA

VRLA (4 & 5th of May, LA/USA): Attending the VRLA conference back in the summer of 2016 marked the start of co-founder Leen’s entrepreneurial journey in XR. This year, LucidWeb is excited to announce to host a booth at the largest immersive technology expo. The event is showcasing not only the cutting edge in XR tech, but also the future for creation, sharing and storytelling of XR entertainment.
